Arran Single Malt: Signature Series Edition 3 - Duero Discovery

The third release in our acclaimed Signature Series, Duero Discovery has been personally selected and signed by Distillery Manager Stewart Bowman, showcasing his passion for innovative cask maturation and exceptional Arran Single Malt.

This limited-edition Arran Whisky explores the remarkable influence of premium Spanish red wine casks sourced from the renowned wine-producing region along the Duero River in northern Spain. The result is a rich and distinctive island whisky, combining the vibrant fruit character of the Arran Single Malt with the depth and complexity imparted by these exceptional wine casks.

Duero Discovery began its journey with six years in first and second-fill Bourbon barrels before being transferred into first-fill Spanish red wine casks. After a further six years of maturation in our traditional Warehouse No. 4, Stewart Bowman carefully monitored the development of the whisky before selecting and marrying the casks at their optimum age.

The result is a beautifully balanced, unpeated Arran Single Malt with a rich ruby-amber colour and layers of ripe red berries, dark fruit, gentle spice and toasted oak. The influence of the Duero wine casks adds depth and richness while allowing the fresh, fruity character of Arran Whisky to remain at the forefront.

Personally approved by Stewart Bowman and carrying his signature, Signature Series Edition 3: Duero Discovery is a unique expression that highlights the creativity, craftsmanship and cask expertise at the heart of the Isle of Arran.
