Everything you need to know about delivery of our whiskies to your door

Our Arran Single Malt online shop is open, please kindly allow  7 working days for your delivery to arrive safely within the UK.  We will endeavour to minimise the wait as much as we possibly can.  

We sell our Arran Single Malts worldwide and are shipping to a variety of countries, details of which can be found here.  Please kindly allow 15 working days for deliveries to Europe.  We will endeavour to minimise the wait as much as we possibly can.  

Unfortunately we are unable to ship to the USA., Australia or Asia.  Our couriers are unable to deliver to BFPO, Post Office Box or Paketshop destinations. 

Customs Handling

Please be aware that you will be liable for Customs Handling charges, VAT and other charges when your consignment arrives in your country, to offset some of these charges, UK VAT will be charged at 0%.  Please contact your own countries Customs Departments to get an indication of taxes and charges that will be applied.

Your country's customs department/couriers will contact you for payment of applicable VAT, handling charges and excise duties  (Please check your spam mail).  Some countries will only hold your consignment for five days before returning it to us.  Isle of Arran Distillers are charged for the return postage, for any additional postage to resend your order and import customs fees to the UK.  Unfortunately we need to pass some of these costs on to you, our customers.

While your order is being assessed by your countries Customs Department neither you, ourselves or our couriers are able to provide any further tracking information.  Customs clearance can take up to 6 weeks in some countries.

Tracking information provided by our couriers is usable in both UK delivery systems and your own countrys delivery systems.  Further information can be found here

When you order from our online shop

• We ship all of our orders from the Isle of Arran. For UK orders please allow 7 working days for delivery of regular stock items in our shop e.g. 10 year-old, hampers etc. For limited releases, for example, White Stag bottlings, or special offers please allow 7-14 working days for delivery. 
• For orders to European and other countries please allow  15 working days for delivery of your order.  
• Although couriers may change, we are currently using Parcelforce and DHL as the main couriers who will uplift packages from the island.
• If you have not received your order within 15 working days (EU) it is important that you contact Mail Order Services on +44 1770307283/+441770307299 to allow us to notify the appropriate courier companies.
• Please use the tracking details supplied by our couriers to monitor the progress of your package.  The tracking numbers work both on Parcelforce and major delivery companies in Europe.
• Unfortunately our delivery route is subject to bad weather that affects our ferries but we will try to minimise the disruption to you as much as possible.
• For the purposes of our Couriers, the Channel Islands are classified as a European delivery.
• UK deliveries are made by our chosen courier at any time between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 Monday through to Friday.

• The delivery costs quoted are for orders of 1–6 bottles although we may need to limit the number of bottles in a consignment.
• Delivery charges will be applied per transaction. Please note we are unable to combine separate orders. 
• If you wish to purchase more than 6 bottles, please contact us directly on (0044) (0) 1770 307283.  You can also email us on mailorder@arranwhisky.com for a delivery quote and we'll be delighted to help.
• The department is open Mon - Friday, 0900-1630.  Please do use our answer machine facility available at (0044) (0) 1770 307283, leaving a short message with your name and contact number.  We will return your call as soon as possible.

The Delivery Process

• On the day that we dispatch your goods you will receive email notification from Parcelforce/DHL confirming that the items have been dispatched, this email will provide a tracking code for your use.  (Please check your spam mail folder)  Please ensure you have provide both mobile telephone number and email address for notifications from your local couriers and Customs Department (where appropriate).  Delivery mobile telephone numbers and email should correspond with the country of delivery and include full dialling codes.

• Our courier will notify you of the anticipated delivery date and time via text to the mobile telephone number you have supplied.
• If the time and day is suitable no further action by you is required.
• If it’s not convenient you can respond to the couriers with an alternative delivery date/time or address.
• If there is no-one available to sign for goods our courier will leave information telling you how/where to collect your package.  this information may also be emailed to you - please check your 'spam' folders'
• If uncollected within 5 days your package will be returned to us.
