The journey begins with maturation in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels before the whisky is transferred into smaller Quarter Casks made from the finest American oak. These 125-litre casks create significantly greater contact between the spirit and the wood, accelerating maturation and intensifying flavour development. Small casks like these would have been a familiar sight in the whisky trade of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, valued for their practicality and ease of transport around the Isle of Arran.

The result is a full-bodied Arran Whisky bursting with notes of vanilla, tropical fruit, citrus and honey, balanced by warming oak, rich sweetness and a distinctive peppery spice.
