We have a true White Stag romance, which resulted in our first wedding last month between White Stags Claudia Vielhuber from Germany and David Vermassen from Belgium.

We host our annual Arran Malt & Music on the last Saturday in June every year. Traditionally, the Friday night before we hold a White Stag Gala dinner in a beautiful marquee in the grounds of our distillery. In 2014, at one of our first ever White Stag Gala Dinners, David and Claudia were introduced and found themselves sat beside one another at one of the tables hosted by our Senior Brand Manager Louisa. Claudia was the only non-Belgian guest at the table other than Louisa! Romance blossomed and David and Claudia became soul mates in life and whisky from that Friday night onwards. Fast forward a few years and the annual White Stag dinner came around once again earlier this year. David took the opportunity of the anniversary of their first meeting to propose to Claudia and they celebrated their engagement together with many of our White Stag friends from all over the world.

We are delighted to say that Claudia and David celebrated their wedding day on 29th October in Belgium, where they now live.  We couldn't be more delighted for them, and they will celebrate again with more fesitivities next year on the occasion of our Arran Malt & Music Festival at the end of June 2017 - a date in the diary which means a lot to both of them now!

Our first White Stag wedding, which proves that whisky really is quite a magical thing which brings people and lives together!
