This year marks an extraordinary milestone for us at Lochranza Distillery as we celebrate thirty years of distilling our award-winning Arran Single Malt. Now, after decades of patience and anticipation, we are honoured to introduce the Arran Single Malt 30-Year-Old First Release - a whisky that represents the very heart of our story.

Earlier this year, on 29th June, fans from around the world gathered here at Lochranza. At exactly 2:29pm - the moment spirit flowed from our stills for the very first time thirty years earlier - we raised a glass to celebrate three decades of independent distilling on the Isle of Arran. That moment honoured the passion, dedication, and integrity that define our distillery and the people behind it.

To mark this anniversary, we invited our supporters to purchase one of thirty exceptional Palo Cortado Sherry Casks, each filled with Arran spirit on the anniversary of our first ever cask filling. A rare cask for a rare occasion, this offering gave fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become part of our enduring story.

Now, to further commemorate this remarkable milestone, we proudly present the first official release of the Arran 30-Year-Old Single Malt. Our Distillery Manager, Stewart Bowman, hand-selected an ex-Sherry Hogshead from 1995 - the very first year we produced spirit at Lochranza. Filled on 12th September 1995 and bottled on 13th October 2025 at 46% ABV, this release is natural in colour and non-chill-filtered.

This whisky embodies the elegance, depth, and complexity that define Arran Single Malt.

• Nose: Bold notes of burnt orange, star anise, and cinnamon, balanced by toasted oak.

• Palate: Rich and layered with honey, ripe orchard fruits, vanilla, and cloves.

• Finish: Long, sweet, and warming, with lingering hints of toffee apple and orange zest.

Our Arran 30-Year-Old First Release is presented in a beautifully crafted dark natural wood box with copper accents that echo the copper of our stills. Inside, the design nods to the charred oak of our casks, while the whisky itself is showcased in our bespoke Arran Single Malt glass bottle, complete with copper detailing and a premium wood-grain embossed label.

With only 300 bottles available, the Arran 30-Year-Old Single Malt can be purchased exclusively in person at Lochranza Distillery. A limited allocation has also been made available to members of our White Stag Community through the Arran Whisky online shop.

As we look ahead to 2026, we are excited to unveil a refreshed core range. Our much-loved 18- and 25-Year-Old expressions will retire, making way for new and elevated additions—including our first ever core range 30-Year-Old Arran Single Malt, launching in key markets worldwide next summer.
