ARRAN WHISKY FESTIVAL MALT & MUSIC 2021

The Arran Whisky Festival Malt & Music 2021 will take place on the 26^th & 27^th June and it will consist of a number of live and pre-recorded events available to watch on our Lagg & Arran social media pages.

What a difference a year makes! It seems like only yesterday we were planning huge celebrations for our 25^th Anniversary which quickly turned into online drams and banter. As much as we are loving seeing so many of you visiting the island and coming to say hello in Lagg and Lochranza, we decided to keep our festival virtual this year to guarantee yours and our team’s safety while appreciating the easing of restrictions. We have been busy working on a full and interesting schedule which now has live events with tasting packs available to buy and local music. We can’t wait to share some drams on screen and have a wonderful weekend all together!

Join Mariella & Lucy on a journey through mysterious, new and old, limited edition Arran Whisky releases. The set includes a mixture of bottles that are still around these days, others that are a bit harder to come by and many that we suspect don’t often get opened which we are obviously super happy to share with you! From as young as 10 to as old as 24, this is a great chance to try some wonderful Arran Whisky releases of the past few years.

If you are missing the enthusiasm, passion and knowledge of our amazing Lochranza team while sipping on a special dram straight from the warehouse then this one is for you! Join the awesome tour guides Pam, Campbell & Scott in an epic tasting of 6 cask samples with completely different backgrounds, maturations, places of origin and stories. A rare opportunity to discover how the Arran Single Malt character changes and evolves once it is in contact with casks from all over the world.

Exclusive to the winners of The Ultimate Masterclass 2021 ballot, here’s your chance to select the official 2022 Festival bottling with Director of Production James MacTaggart & Managing Director Euan Mitchell. This masterclass is restricted to 15 spaces and names of participants will be drawn at random. Join Distillery Manager Graham Omand & Senior Tour Guide Katie Morrison for a tasting of all things peat! Not every day you get the chance to taste new make, 1 and 2 year old spirit from a brand new distillery and see the evolution of its spirit over the years. Lagg Distillery Exclusives Fingal’s Cut Sherry Finish, Fingal’s Cut Quarter Cask & Rum Cask Finished are also in there to give you a taste of things to come!
