We offer a range of tours all led by our fantastic tour guides who have become well known for giving some of the most entertaining and informative tours in the industry. We have a variety of different tours and something to suit all visitors. Please note that our Visitor Centre is closed for the whole of January 2018 and no tours will be available. We open again for tours on 3rd February 2018.
There’s something magical about the alchemy of whisky making, and there’s no better way to appreciate it than by visiting a distillery. As one of the few independent distilleries in Scotland - and one that proudly follows traditional practice - we promise a particularly fascinating experience. Our Visitor Centre was awarded Distillery Visitor Experience of the Year by Scottish Field Magazine in both 2014 & 2015 and in 2017 we were awarded Best Contribution to Wine & Spirits Tourism by the prestigious Drinks Business Magazine. We pride ourselves on offering the warmest of welcomes to our home village.
We welcome visitors all year round, with tours of the distillery and warehouse, as well as tutored tastings, and short 'Drop Inn' tours inbetween the main tours which are great for families with young children. Numbers for all tours are limited, so we would advise booking tour places in advance, especially during the very busy summer months. Our Visitor Centre, shop and CASKS Cafe are open every day if you’d just like to drop in and soak up the uniquely calming atmosphere. CASKS Cafe serves a variety of soups, local cheese and meat platters and of course a selection of coffees, teas and home baking.
Our summer season will begin again on Saturday 3rd March and will last until Sunday 4th November 2018. During this time we are open 7 days 10am - 5.15pm with CASKS Cafe closing at 4.45pm.
Winter Hours: 10am - 4pm, 3rd Feb - 2nd March 2018. On 3rd March 2018 we will be open 7 days 10am - 5.15pm.
We are closed for the whole of January 2018 for essential maintenance to take place. Please note that North Ayrshire Council are currently working on carriageway resurfacing and widening on the A841 Bogullie (Sannox to Lochranza, near Witches Bridge.) Contractors are working 7 days a week.
The road will be closed 09:15 - 16:30 daily with traffic signals being in place overnight in the interests of public safety. These works commenced on 29th January and are anticipated to be completed by 23rd March 2018. You can still reach us via the B880 String Road, however you will need to allow an extra 30 minuates for your journey.
