The Amarone Finish will be back soon!

We've had quite a few messages and e-mails over the past few weeks from people asking us what has happened to our Amarone Wine Finish Single Malt.

As many of you will know, the Amarone Wine Finish is one of the 3 cask finish expressions of The Arran Malt that we produce - the other two being Port and Sauternes.

We source the casks for these editions directly from the wine producers themselves and sometimes there can be a break in what is available to us from the producer, depending on a variety of factors at their end.  We were not able to get as many Amarone casks as we were hoping for in our last shipment from Italy.  To make up for the slight wait for some more Amarone casks, we were able to bring to bottling some beautiful Madeira casks which we had resting in our warehouses.  This allowed us to feature a one-off 'guest finish' in our range at the end of last year, continuing into the early part of this year. The Madeira Finish was an especially interesting one for us to feature around Christmas time and it offered a very luxurious and decadent take on our whisky which worked well around the colder, festive season.

James MacTaggart, our Distillery Manager, has been keeping a watchful eye on our Amarone casks and has scheduled them for bottling next month. This means that you will see the return of the Amarone Finish to the shelves of your local whisky retailer towards mid-end March. We are sure many of you will be pleased to see if back and ready to enjoy it once again as one of your favourite go-to drams.

In the meantime, if you want to get your hands on a bottle of our Madeira Wine Finish Arran Single Malt, this is still available in our web shop priced at £42.99.  Once it's gone...it's gone!
