Arran is a welcoming island, its people are open and friendly and nowhere is this better demonstrated than in our Visitor Centre. It was officially opened by Her Majesty The Queen in 1997 and is situated right next to our Distillery in the beautiful village of Lochranza, the home of whisky on Arran. We were also delighted to be awarded Scottish Field Magazine's Visitor Experience of the Year 2014 last year and then again in 2015. We are very proud of our award-winning team and guarantee a wonderful, personal welcome to our home.
A journey to our visitor centre is well worth the effort.
It affords you the opportunity to learn about the art of whisky making from professional guides, you can tour the distillery and witness the magic for yourself and at the end of the tour enjoy a dram in the company of like-minded people. We are proud to be part of the Visit Arran Training Initiative which aims to make sure that every visitor destination on Arran provides the best possible experience.
As well the educational side of your visit you can enjoy a meal in our CASKS Cafe or simply a well-earned seat and a cup of coffee. Our beautiful cafe also features a stunning gallery which showcases original pieces of artwork from local and UK based artists. You are welcome to come and join us there between 10am and 5pm, with last orders being taken at 4.30pm. If you’d like something a little more invigorating to drink we naturally have the largest and most comprehensive stock of Arran whisky in the world as well as fantastic Arran Whisky Flights which gives you the chance to try some of our limited edition Single Malts. Arran is famous for its produce and we are proud to present food platters featuring some of the best food the island has to offer. We are part of the Visit Scotland 'Taste our Best' initiative which requires commitment from every partner to provide a quality eating experience using quality locally produced food and drink. In our well-stocked gift shop you can also find inspiration for gifts, clothing and glassware perfect for every occasion, as well as all our well-loved Single Malts. You will also find our limited edition expressions here first!
