Cocktail Competition Winner
Congratulations to Dafydd Warren from Harborough for his 100% Proof of Life Cocktail
Ingredients:
50cl Arran Malt100 Proof
A small knob of grated fresh ginger squeezed through cloth
Juice of 1 Fresh Orange
1 measure of Green Tea
1 Teaspoon of Scottish Heather Honey
Recipe:
Shake all the above ingredients with plenty of ice in a cocktail shaker, Strain into a martini glass, and spritz with fresh orange peel.
A summery taste for a classic mid-winter drink.
Dafydd Warren "invented" this drink as a variation of the hot toddy that his father used to knock him out with when he was ill as kid. The addition of freshly squeezed fresh ginger gives a huge kick, whilst not overpowering.
The Green tea gives a wonderfull floral note. Both comlpementing the strength and flavours of Arran's 100 Proof whisky.
An original take on a classic Scottish hot toddy
Slainte!

Poetry Competition Winners:
- Etta Dunn (Glasgow)-
"Any Whisky lover worth his salt, knows there's none as satisfying as an Arran Malt"
- Beverley Kerry (Ilkeston)-
"From an island of beauty, comes a nectar of gold, lift a dram to your nose, let the aroma unfold, then tease your palate, with the merest taste. It's a dram to be savoured, let none go to waste, feel your tongue come to life with the depth of flavour, now take a deeper sip, sit back, and savour, the only dram for me,my glasses are barren, of any other whisky, for I only drink Arran"
